The First Book of Heroes

We all like a hero, don't we? Superman...our Mum? This book, written by David Thornycroft and published in 1958, goes back to the days however when heroes were real men.

There's looks at the likes of Hannibal the Avenger (who crossed the Alps with '46,000 men and thirty-seven elephants'), Marco Polo's trip to China and the great Viking Leif Ericsson.

There's also a gaze into the heroes of the future and the problems they will face - namely space travel. Men travelling to the moon. Really? To this book's probable suprise, it only happened some 11 years later.

Fancy taking a gander at this marvellous dip into the heroes of yore? Check it out over at our website - www.rewindreuserevive.co.uk - or directly at our online shop.
